From the Airport to our home
From the airport you can take a train to Central Station and from there tram 2 to our home, which is a nice sightseeing tour through the inner city. (the tram is rated in a top ten list of the National Geographic).
Bus 397 leaves leaves from the airport - during the daytime - every 8 minutes and brings you in about 25 minutes to the stop called "Haarlemmermeer station". From there it is about 8 minutes walking to our home.
A taxi off course is more comfortable and much quicker. Always take an official taxi ! And even than be careful. Before you get in, show the address "Lomanstraat 2" in writing and ask how much it will cost. For two persons you pay approximately 35 - 40 Euro. An uber taxi is around 23 Euro, for two to four people. The pickup point is outside exit B at arrivals.

By car to Lomanstraat 2
When you arrive in Amsterdam, first drive to our home to drop your luggage. Than you can bring the car to the P&R car park nearby, which costs 1 (one !) Euro per 24 hours only. From there take the tram or bus into the center.
For your GPS navigator our address is Lomanstraat 2 Amsterdam, and the postal code 1075RA. The car park address for the navigator is: Laan der Hesperiden 70 (1076DX). The car park entrance is opposite this address. If you park the car after 10 am in the P&R you pay the low fee of 1 Euro per 24 hours. Before 10 am the fee is higher (but still low): 8 Euro per 24 hour. The garage has three entrances. Enter at the rightmost entry intended specifically and exclusively for P&R. Only then will you get a P&R ticket. Keep this ticket in a very safe place !
When on the day of departure you collect your car you have to have - next to the parking ticket - a public transport ticket, proving you came from the center. Therefore you have to go to the Roelof Hartplein and take tram 24. This will bring you directly to the car park at the Olympic Stadium. Make sure - in the tram - to put your ticket in the machine to check in and out ! Because you have to show this ticket when paying the parking fee in the garage, as proof that you came from the center. Only than you will be eligible for the special P&R fee. Once you have collected your car, than go back to our home and pick up the rest of the family/group and luggage.
